Todays order was not at all what we are used to when ordering from this establishment.We ordered cooked local fish and chips, plus some extras calamari and prawns.Fish was terrible, 3 pieces and nobody was actually able to eat it. Firstly supposed to be filleted and i was picking bones out for my children, and was just very scrapy, not nice fish at all. Very disappointed, we are quite local and frequent here, however will not be back and will have to find another fish and chip shop in yamba.Not enough experienced staff either waited at least 45mins maybe longer.Dissapointed.
Dish: Whiting and chipsSlightly overcooked fish batter gave it a more bland crunch. Chips also slightly overcooked, lacked crispness. Too much salt added.Lemons could have been cut better and 1 sachet not enough for all the fish. Staff friendly and courteous.Priced higher compared to others.
Lovely staff, extremely friendly and this review in no way reflects their service but unfortunately the worst fish and chips Ive ever had. Fish was rubber and chips were bland. I was heaps disappointed thinking as a co-op I would get the best fish and chips of my life. Food went in the bin
What a disappointment. Fish flesh grey/brown. No salt or lemon as specifically requested. Vinegar? How can that be tasteless? A waste of $30. Not coming back with extended family over the next couple of weeks.
Friendly staff, the prawn cutlets were absolutely terrible they lacked any distinctive taste whatsoever. Do not buy them. Small shrimps with too much batter on them. Chips fairly disappointing, not as crispy as hoped but ok. Fish tasted good. Overall for a 6$ fish of the day its worth it. Calamari quite good. Would come back but just buying no prawns
